How to deal With Rude Person

Rudeness is something that most people in our lives face daily either in the work environment, household, or even public setting. The Bible teaches time-validated ways on how to approach rude people with grace and composure. Using principles from the Bible will be useful in staying peaceful, generous, and dealing with such situations to fulfill what a man of faith should do. How to handle rude people in Scripture.

    Be gentle

The word of God reminds us that gentle response turns away wrath and can make the conflict better. Proverbs 15:1 KJV says, "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." Don't try to play at being rude by speaking in hard words. Let kindness and gentleness make a difference. Soft speech may melt the coldest hearts, making things not worsen.

    Patient

One must display first, patience, and for those who are being extremely difficult to work with. And it is here that we read in 1 Corinthians 13:4 KJV, "Charity suffereth long, and is kind." Here charity simply means patient love that is kind and can stand even the worst kinds of rudeness. Whenever they are doing something that frustrates you, take a breath then act. You will more thoughtful than impulsive as you handle the situation, thus staying in control.

    Don't Take Revenge

Normally, people react by taking some form of revenge when people are mean to them. That's not what the Bible teaches. Romans 12:17-19 (KJV) says, "Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.". Dear friends, do not seek to avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. This will make you forget to seek justice and find ways of encouraging peace instead of fueling the flames of war.

    Show love and forgiveness

Forgiveness is the cornerstone of Christian living. As stated in Ephesians 4:32, KJV, "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Like God forgives us, we do unto others. Forgiving nasty people is not easy most of the times, yet it would halt the bitter feelings and you'd be saved in a peaceful spirit inside. Love and forgiveness are just very powerful weapons for defeating negativity.

    Pray for Them

Perhaps one of the most profound ways in dealing with rude people is how to pray for them. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. This is taught in Matthew 5:44. Through praying for those who are causing you harm, you can change the nature and attitude of your heart. That gives you a chance to view them in God's eyes as you approach the situation with sympathy and understanding.

    Final Thoughts

No one ever likes to deal with rude people, but that is what God does, giving you clear instructions from the Bible on how to handle this situation. Probably with this return of rudeness to them by love, and practicing patience, rejecting the aspect of revenge in relation to loving them good and forgive; or maybe even to God through prayers. By such means, it tries handling rudeness in forms accepted before God. More to the point, these doctrines keep one in internal peace as well as build wonderful testimonies of the faith residing inside.

The next time you see a person behaving so rudely, don't forget all the messages here; be the source of brightness, positive, and hope-giving. This way, others' lives will also get affected and witness Christ's love.
